Testimonial - Adam Wright (Head Coach, UCLA Men's Water Polo)

"The last couple of years our team had struggled with the one on one physical side of the game.  In the sport of water polo you are constantly in contact with the opponent.  A great majority of the time it is hand combat where you are trying to gain leverage on the opposition.  I was looking for an edge for our program.  I had worked with a jiu-jitsu instructor back in my playing days and thought if we could find somebody local that this would be huge for our program.  Luckily I was introduced to Paul McCarthy.  Once we began our training with Paul you could see the confidence in our players grow.  The hand combat and also entry points to gain leverage were invaluable to our program.  Paul’s approach with our guys was really incredible to watch as he always had their full attention and his ability to teach not only through his examples but also his clear explanations allowed us to maximize our short amount of time with him."
